Encouraging personal and professional

Releasing Potential is a charity, based in Havant, which has been delivering outdoor education since 2001. We began by providing activities in schools to help marginalised young people develop social, emotional and practical skills. Our profile has developed since then to include Forest School for schools, nurseries and family groups, and professional development courses in sailing, team building and challenging behaviour management. We also run our own full time SEN provision for schools and local authorities, and Near to School provision for young people at risk of permanent exclusion.

All our programmes help participants build  skills and confidence. We offer a variety of activities from sailing to orienteering, and  through team building, group work and/or residential courses we help participants develop a toolkit to be used in challenging situations.

Our customised courses are tailored to the needs of a school, group or individual student, providing activities from kayaking to orienteering to camp craft. We run programmes over the school holidays for anyone or any group who want to try a new activity, have some fun or gain a new qualification. Call us on 02392 479762 and we can talk through what might work for you or your organisation.

In addition to our work with schools and Education Authorities, we have developed a range of commercial services for professionals and families. Our professional services include NVQ Level 3 in Managing Challenging Behaviour, RYA and BCU accredited courses in sailing, powerboating and paddlesport, and an indpendent Mediation service for education. For families we offer holiday activity days and parties including Forest School.

We have been very successful in:
•  Building self-confidence and

   team work
•  Building a toolkit of professional
