"I found mediation a constructive, easy process – useful to be able to discuss things, for each person to be able to ask questions and to clarify if necessary. Thank you for your time and support...I was especially pleased with your communication…I would certainly recommend you…"

Mediation

Recent Changes in the law mean that Local Education Authorities have a reponsibility to provide independent mediation in the event of a dispute over educational issues.

  • We are the only Hampshire-based service  accredited by Hampshire LEA as an   approved independent mediation service. We are easy to access at our premises in Havant, Alton and Chichester, and we have good knowledge of the local area.
  • No one who works for Releasing Potential is employed by Hampshire County Council.

We understand how stressful it can be to be involved in conflict, and we aim to help all parties in a dispute through the mediation process. We want to achieve results which are acceptable to everyone involved, and which produce the best possible outcomes for the young person.

We are specialists in mediation on issues including:

  • Admissions
  • Bullying
  • Exclusions
  • Discrimination

Kerry Buckley, our Lead Mediator, holds a Diploma in Mediation (achieved with distinction), and has many years' experience in working with schools, families and LEAs in Hampshire and West Sussex.

If you are interested in working with our  mediation service, or would like more information about the process, please get in touch. A phone call to the dedicated mediation line will hopefully answer your questions, and if you decide to go ahead with mediation, we can start the process for you.
